About Us
Suited Word helps able and committed young writers get their works published and listed across various points of distribution.
We are particularly interested in longer literary works (upwards of 10,000 words) by writers up to the age of 15.
Our preference is for longer works because we feel working on projects of that scale helps children to develop skills of focus, commitment, perseverance and a willingness to refine and improve on one's work.
Seeing their own work in print gives children a lasting sense of confidence that underpins and anticipates future achievements.
North London young writer Benjamin Fun published his 18,000-word Delton Guardians when he was nine-and-a-half years old, and followed that up with the 25,000-word Gravelburn's Revenge a few weeks shy of his tenth birthday.
He completed The Espinox Trials - the third book (66,000 words) in the Delton Guardians series - just before he turned eleven, and he is now at work on the fourth!
The pride of being a published writer of three books before the age of eleven is something Ben can carry with him for life.
Suited Word has helped him achieve listing as well as distribution across a variety of UK and international sources.
